Re-Certification and Registration
Every member of WMSRA and every referee is required to do the following each year:
Bring proof of completion of the US Soccer Grassroots training module with you to the meeting.
- Attend the AGM (usually on same day as recert) and pay membership dues. You may also sign up for NASO insurance if desired.
- Register for the recertification course on Game Officials using the following link
https://michiganrefs.gameofficials.net/public/class/classRegister.cfm?classID=30592 - Within Game Officials - complete the Concussion Awareness training module
- Within Game Officials - complete the U11 Heading Podcast training module
- Within Game Officials - complete the Grassroot course to US Soccer Instructions training module
Remember! You will not receive your badge until ALL modules have been completed.
If you registered for the course, but did not complete the modules, you can get to them with the following instructions:
· Login to MICHIGAN REFS Game Officials https://michiganrefs.gameofficials.net
· Click change identity near the top
· Click "Switch" next to 1303 Michigan Refs Official (if "current" go to next step).
· Click "Confirmed Reg" in left menu
· Click recertification course number
· Click "Load session tracker” - New Referees must complete The US Soccer Grassroots training module for Michigan. Below is the link in case you have problems:
https://learning.ussoccer.com/referee/courses/available/7/details/438
It should say "Michigan - Online Course (Hidden) " near the top of the page
THIS TRAINING TAKES 4-5 HOURS TO COMPLETE - DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE DAY OF CLASS, YOU WON'T HAVE TIME
For some people, step #6 didn't work until they were logged into their learning.ussoccer account. The above link took them to the page, then they'd login, but not find the course. To fix this, copy/paste the link in the browser again (while already logged in) and that's when the registration link appeared that looks like the screenshots from the game officials course. - After completing the US Soccer Grassroots training module, you will receive an email thanking you for completing the course - forward that email to Jim DeBrabander at [email protected]
- Attend winter continuing education courses to retain Member in Good Standing (MIGS) Status.
Bring proof of completion of the US Soccer Grassroots training module with you to the meeting.
